Kimberley Garrison COO
Ms. Garrison joined the firm in 1998. Since beginning her employment she has determined the present value for equitable distribution purposes of over 7,000 pensions. Additionally, as part of her responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer, she has reviewed more than 10,000 additional appraisals. Ms. Garrison's responsibilities also include assisting in drafting domestic relations orders, analyzing structured settlement proposals, valuing survivor benefits for estate tax purposes and reviewing appraisals performed by other actuarial firms plus valuing Stock Options. She has worked with all types of plans, including qualified plans which fall under the rules and regulations of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) as well as non-qualified plans, state and local governmental plans, the Military Retirement System, both the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) and the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), and the Railroad Retirement System.
Also, Ms. Garrison is qualified as an expert witness to provide testimony regarding issues of valuing and dividing defined pension benefits for equitable distribution purposes.
