FULLY VESTED:
Fully Vested means the employee has the right to receive benefits from the plan even if he were to leave employment immediately. Non-vested (Unvested) means the employee would loose the right to future benefits if employment was terminated immediately.

The laws for each State vary regarding the Valuation of Non-Vested Benefits. Be sure to check how the state in which you are getting a divorce views this issue.
